1. Have fun and play safely. Only tee off when the group ahead is safely out of range. When teeing off on Hole #1, be especially aware of players on the #6 green or walking to the #7 tee.
2. Be courteous. If a faster group catches up, please allow them to play through.
3. Out of Bounds (O/B): A ball that comes to rest completely beyond the long strip of grass surrounding each fairway is out of bounds and carries a 2-stroke penalty. Return the ball to the point where it crossed out of bounds, throw it back onto the fairway, add two strokes, and continue play. Never play a ball from out of bounds. If it's questionable whether the ball is out, it is considered in play. During tournaments, the playing group should make the decision or consult a course official.
4. Hole #18 Pond: A ball entering the pond results in a 2-stroke penalty. Use the net at the gazebo to retrieve your ball if possible. Drop the ball within one club length of the point where it entered the water, no closer to the hole, add two strokes, and continue play.
5. Free Relief: If your ball is against an immovable object, tree root, signpost, or any obstacle that could damage your club, you are entitled to free relief. Drop the ball within one club length, no closer to the hole.
6. Ball Through the Fairway: If your ball travels completely through a fairway and out of bounds onto another hole (for example, from #2 onto #3), return the ball to a point on your original hole equal to where it went out of bounds (e.g., 10 feet past the hole toward the #2 tee), add a 2-stroke penalty, and continue play.
7. No Cutting Corners: Players must follow the designed layout of the course. Do not cut across the corners on Holes #4 or #8, regardless of the number of strokes taken. Doing so results in a 2-stroke penalty.
8. Lost Ball: A lost ball results in a 2-stroke penalty. Mark the approximate location where the ball was lost, obtain a replacement ball from the gazebo, add two strokes, and continue play.
9. Equipment: Please return all clubs and balls to the clubhouse/gazebo at the end of your round.
10. Course Etiquette: Rines Creek Park Golf is a family-friendly course. Please use respectful language and display good sportsmanship at all times. Although this is Park Golf, the standards of etiquette are equal to—or even higher than—those expected in conventional golf.
