What is Park Golf?
Park Golf is a unique and exciting sport that blends elements of traditional golf, mini golf, and croquet into one easy-to-learn and fun-to-play game. Invented in Japan in 1983, it has grown into a national pastime there—with over 1,300 courses and millions of players across the country.
Rines Creek Park Golf is proud to be the first Park Golf course in Canada, joining only 12 others in the United States.
Unlike regular golf, Park Golf is played on shorter fairways—9 holes can’t exceed 500 yards in total. Our course features 18 holes spanning 899 yards, with individual fairways ranging from 25 to 90 yards. The game is played with a single club (featuring the shaft of a putter and the head of a driver, but with no loft) and a ball similar in size to a cue ball but much lighter. The holes are also larger—8 inches wide compared to the 4 inches used in traditional golf.
Two people can play 18 holes in just over an hour—and welcoming to all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a first-time player or looking for a new way to enjoy the outdoors, Park Golf is affordable, inclusive, and a whole lot of fun.
Come give it a try—you just might get hooked!
